It’s a wrap: eBay Germany launches new campaign with Achtung! as creative lead
In November 2022, the new eBay Germany brand campaign went on air – with the Achtung! team working with Michael Ohanian (CCO) and Valentin Burkhardt (ECD) assuming the role of creative lead.
The integrated 360° campaign was once again rolled out on the “eBay. That’s you”. brand platform developed by Achtung! One by one, it addresses special moments in this challenging year and is intended to inspire confidence among the eBay community. “You make the most of it” is the message around which the campaign is built.
Michael Ohanian, CCO at Achtung!, is confident: “It is precisely in years like this that it is important to inspire confidence. With this campaign, eBay aims to contribute to that goal and to encourage people.”
In the first phase, the actions that consumers take to respond to the challenges of our time were at the heart of the narrative. In the face of high fuel prices, they switch to cycling instead; they buy lower-priced refurbished products; and they sell things that they no longer use in order to supplement their own budget. The second phase was dominated by Cyber Week, during which very special offers were available on eBay.
The eBay brand campaign reaches a glittering finale at Christmas. With the tagline, “No matter how you celebrate this year: you make the most of it” various emotional Christmas moments are enacted, showing how diverse Christmas can be.
