Achtung! is buying land and reforesting
The climate won’t save itself. That’s why since 2021 we are no longer just an agency, but also the proud owners of three hectares of forested land, in which we invest 10% of our annual business profits. And we keep on buying more land to add to it.
As of now we are using 10% of our annual business profits to buy and reforest land previously used for agriculture. We’ve already made a start by buying up three hectares of land in Braak, in the state of Schleswig-Holstein near Hamburg. The land was used for intensive agriculture in the past but now belongs to us. In order to establish the type of mixed woodland that characterised Europe so long ago, we’ll be planting roughly 12,000 birch, beech and oak trees there. Other portions of land will be added gradually, and will also be reforested.
All part of our contribution to environmental and climate protection
Mirko Kaminski, our founder and CEO of the Achtung! agency group, says: “We want to work together with our clients and our team to do more for the environment and to support sustainability, which is why we’ll be investing 10% of our annual business profits to buy land for reforestation. And we’ll continue to do so each and every year.”
By reforesting land that was previously used for intensive agriculture, Achtung! wants to do its bit to protect the environment and in particular the climate. Thorsten Beckmann, our CFO, is responsible for the initiative and says: “We also take standard sustainability measures. But we felt we needed to do more than that. In the years to come we will gradually be expanding the Achtung! woodlands together with our clients and our team.”

Our ‘Achtung! Forest’ initiative enjoys high-profile backing. The forestry experts at Wohllebens Waldakademie support our project with help and advice. Peter Wohlleben: “Reforesting land is an important task. This is because woodland is the key to tackling climate change. Trees have a cooling effect, they absorb carbon dioxide, give out oxygen and lead to more rain, while also protecting biodiversity.”
Wir bleiben dran am Thema Nachhaltigkeit. Versprochen ist versprochen. 10 Prozent des Achtung! Gewinns werden in Land und Bäume investiert.

Neben Linden, Eichen und Buchen werden Berg-Ahorn, Hainbuche, vielleicht auch Vogelkirsche und Elsbeere im Achtung! Forst wachsen. Darüber hinaus pflanzen wir noch standortsheimische Straucharten wie Weißdorn oder Haselnuss. Mit anderen Worten: Wir holen jenen Mischwald zurück, der Europa vor langer Zeit geprägt hat, bevor er der extensiven Landwirtschaft zum Opfer fiel.
Passend zum 🌳 "Tag des Waldes 2024" 🌳 bekommen unsere Achtung! Forstflächen Blumen geschenkt. Die Bienenoasen entstehen entlang des Achtung! Forstes in Braak und Nordhastedt und ergänzen die 9 Hektar Land nicht nur durch bunte Farben. Sie bieten Waldbienen und anderen Insekten Raum und Nahrung.
